“I made a year of voluntary social work at a hospital in Stuttgart. I learned a lot and it really made me more independent. I met a little boy there, his name was Erik and he was 11. He had cancer and even so he was the strongest, happiest and kindest child I’ve ever met. Erik gave me a lot of strength during this hard time while working at the hospital, I’ll never forget him and his strong blue eyes.”
